Pack of 8 thermal insulating socks designed to provide effective protection for spark plugs and spark plug wires in V8 engines, when these are close to the exhaust manifold.

Essential on LS / LSX engines subjected to high temperatures.

On many V8 engines (particularly American LS / LSX type V8 engines), the spark plugs and ignition cables are very close to the manifolds.

This often results in

  • hardening/melting of spark plug wires
  • cracked insulation
  • misfiring when hot
  • recurrent breakdowns in sports use

These thermal protection socks are slipped directly over :

  • the spark plug
  • the spark plug wire

They create an effective insulating barrier against :

  • radiant heat from the manifolds
  • thermal peaks in the engine compartment
  • hot zones in track / drag / drift use

Thanks to their woven fibreglass design, they offer excellent thermal resistance, while remaining flexible and easy to install.
